Surely you're already bored with my non-botanical excourses in my last posts. Of course I sympathise; so here you are, back in Lobau:
Bee ophrys, finally; the last photo I've taken already in may when they hadn't opened their buds quite yet, the other two are from last week. Lobau bee ophrys have suffered severely from a vehicle digging up the place where they grew, see my post from september 2008. Only a very few bee ophrys could be found there this year. But at least there are some. I only hope that nature will heal, that bee ophrys will re-occupy this habitat.
