snow in the mountains!

There's finally snow in the Alps, and other higher lying regions like my native Mühlviertel (I've got news from there from first blizzards, and high time it was for them indeed).

But alas, no snow to be had here in Vienna, and other lower lying regions: we're still waiting here for winter to arrive.

two monks

Long time no see, I know.

Here a photo of two monks will be inserted as soon as the problems I have with blogger will be resolved - so I ask you to be patient. - Oh very well, that was quick: so here we go!

As for what happened those last few weeks: well, we had heavy snowfalls all over Austria, even in Vienna there was some.

But as I had my knee surgery done I couldn't go out and take some shots. I am now on physiotherapy, and it is slowly becoming annoying because progress is slower than I'd like - and spring is on the doorsteps. I'll miss the earliest spring days for sure, and I'll be lucky if I'm back on my bike come Easter; well - I should be, by then.

fleshmarket

It is Städtische Fleisch-Markthalle Linz -Urban Flesh-Market Hall Linz (with the letter H already missing). And it is not new. (But I think you did guess as much.)

The building nowadays isn't a fleshmarket anymore; a club took over the building (it seems that clubs in fleshmarkets and slaughterhouses are all the rage lately).

And it is situated in the lovely industrial park of Linz which is a sight in itself if you like old (and new) warehouses and blast furnaces and coal vessels and rusty rail tracks and oil tanks. (Personally I love and hate those. Depends on mood.)
