thin ice
You could loose ground; break through.
You could catch a cold, or worse even, and be down sick for weeks.
And still we've all done it when we were young: walking on thin ice.
Not knowing whether it will hold.
Fear the worst.
But still hope for the best, for excitement which might be ahead.
But we're grown-ups now, aren't we?
Being in our senses, we won't do anything so stupid, and we shouldn't.
But still - but still ...
It makes you feel so alive.
We've all but forgotten how it feels like.
We shouldn't really try the real thing, as I have done there when taking this shot.
But how about figuratively, in our lifes - from time to time?
Life's so beautiful, we should live it.
I only re-discovered recently that this is so.
And that, indeed, both pleasure and pain might be ahead if you try.
And, most importantly, that even the latter is better than neither.

relativity
You cross a bridge but you go through a tunnel. Now choose.

I did. Or didn't.
And you never cross a bridge twice, nor do you go through the very same tunnel two times in your life - because this is not what happens in real. In real life there are several tunnels to go through, and bridges to cross. Do the right thing, but don't think twice because what is there for you to conquer might not be there any more after rethinking.

tractor tracks

A farm tractor worked this symbol into the ground, to remind us of how much AIDS even has changed the lifes of the non-infected.
I happened to pass by these tracks recently. They certainly made me think.
About life, about everything.
Nevertheless, what we non-infected hope for is only to keep it that way. And that's exactly what has changed in our lifes; which is insignificant, compared to infected one's.
