Well, there actually was some change - rain started considerably earlier, already at noon, and afterwards it was considerably colder than it had been last week. It was almost pleasantly temperate as far as temperatures were concerned, only humidity still is way too high to feel comfortable with.
(By the way, an Austrian news channel just reported that in the north and east of Austria we had record rainfalls in the month of june - for two hundred years, in numbers: 200, there haven't been heavier rainfalls in that first summer month.)
And then of course it is way too wet to ride my bicycle; not that I'm afraid of rain but my camera is, and the brakes don't work as they should when they're wet, and also I wear glasses and rain has a most unfortunate effect on glasses: they obscure one's view so that you don't even see the road ahead of you (and without glasses I'm all but blind).
Therefore you'll have to contend yourself with the Very Common Chicory:
It isn't the first one of this year by a long way, they're flowering for weeks already, and they aren't anything special here in Vienna and surroundings - in fact they grow like weeds.
