The species is Argynnis paphia (Kaisermantel, Silver-washed Fritillary) and it isn't a rare one; an eye-catcher nevertheless because this butterfly is huge, for European species. All three by the way are males: females do not have that four dark, straight lines on the first pair of wings - the scent scales with which males are emitting a scent that attracts females.
