What a beautiful fall we had this year, and what an ugly winter - at least in and around Vienna. (There's plenty of snow in the Alps, sure, but only rain and sleet herearounds.)
I was stuck at home this weekend and found this in my archives:
(These are the fruit of Viburnum opulus - Gemeiner Schneeball.)
Well, to tell the truth we had some traces of snow in Vienna already: on 22nd of november we got almost 5 centimetres which lasted about a couple of days on shadowy places; and since we had the occasional snowflake now and then which didn't last at all. Still that's not much of a winter even for Vienna where we also get years with plenty of snow.
