Still no snow in Vienna, but at least winter.
Since Christmas day it was cold enough for the bayous of Lobau to freeze. Ice isn't thick enough yet to walk on but there's a chance that this will be the case in a week or so, as the forecast predicts even colder weather. Usually in Austria, also in Vienna, there are at least a couple of weeks each winter with degrees way below freezing - but this wasn't the case last year, nor the year before. But this year we are in for a chance.
