Is this fall waiting on the doorsteps?
Certainly seems to be if one takes the weather of the last few days into account. It was rainy and cold, and windy, stormy even, with only a few sunny patches. And yesterday temperatures here in Vienna even fell below ten degrees Celsius: probably a record low for this time of year (in the Alps there even was fresh snow).
Dogwood by the way (Hartriegel in German) is pretty much an unattractive bush the whole year around - except in early spring when it is flowering, and in autumn when the leaves take on colour.
