wet

It is amazing what a little bit of rain may achieve.

Today's weather actually wasn't so bad, we even had sunny patches (but when I was in the middle of nowhere in Lobau it started to rain, and I was soaking wet when I came home - which gave me no worries at all, but thunder and lightning did ...).

The unstable weather we've got right now drives the people away from Lobau national park, which is very much appreciated by me. Today I only met about twenty people, which is nothing compared to 'normal' days out there; on a bright sunny day in the weekend you'd get twenty or more people in one place, today I travelled fifteen kilometres and met twenty.

One of them, by the way, was one of the farm workers of Lobau (yes, there's farming done there: also agricultural biotops are preserved in the national park). He pointed out to me that there was a turtle on the road which I hadn't seen at all, and asked if I would be kind enough to put her back into the woods so that no one would run her over (which of course I did). The picture of this turtle will be shown here as soon as I've determined the species.
