Some things always seem to come in twos, or so I was told by a friend when she saw a photo with two trees in a previous post of this blog.
She told me that trees seem to come in twos in the Czech Republic, usually on the sides of a small chapel, a pillar, a crucifix or something like that, and she was curious wether this were the case in Austria too.
I told her no, not as far as I know, but as I travelled up to Mühlviertel, Upper Austria to visit my parents (and brothers and sisters, and nieces and nephews) at easter I found that there were plenty.
Especially in Lower Austria, where this photo was taken:
As for why trees seem to come in twos I have to confess that I have absolutely no idea. We've only established now that they seem to do so occasionally in the Czech Republic and in Austria.
