Beavers live in Lobau national park - I did know this and I've even seen some marks of them on trees (they were reintroduced here, after being hunted almost to their total extinction in Europe).
But I did not realise that they even populate the fringes of the national park where the shores of the bayous are overcrowded with sunbathers.
Here's proof: to the right hand side of this tree is a small restaurant (well, it's not much more than a big hut), left hand lies the beach which in summer is hardly ever devoid of people - not so in winter, of course, no sunbathers were out on this day:
