wet wet wet

The rain:

finally has let up and today the sun did even shine for hours, if you would believe it.

It wasn't warm today, mind, autumn truly has come, but it was a change, the sun was very welcome indeed. Today's picture of Dryopteris filix-mas (male ferns or German Wurmfarne) and Rubis fruticosis (blackberrys respectively Brombeeren) shall remind me of the heaviest rainfalls I do remember in our latitudes at this time of year: although a little 'rainy season' at end of august and beginning of september is absolutely normal, downpours for days on end that cause some serious flooding clearly are not.

Snow we got only down to about 1.300 meters (more than 4.000 feet) whereas the forecast was for probably down to 1.000 meters, so the worst didn't hit us. Looks like there seems to be a flaw in Murphy's law. So much the better!
