It's unwise.
You could loose ground; break through.
You could catch a cold, or worse even, and be down sick for weeks.
And still we've all done it when we were young: walking on thin ice.
Not knowing whether it will hold.
Fear the worst.
But still hope for the best, for excitement which might be ahead.
But we're grown-ups now, aren't we?
Being in our senses, we won't do anything so stupid, and we shouldn't.
But still - but still ...
It makes you feel so alive.
We've all but forgotten how it feels like.
We shouldn't really try the real thing, as I have done there when taking this shot.
But how about figuratively, in our lifes - from time to time?
Life's so beautiful, we should live it.
I only re-discovered recently that this is so.
And that, indeed, both pleasure and pain might be ahead if you try.
And, most importantly, that even the latter is better than neither.
