My favourite tree is the black pine, has been so for quite some time - actually since I discovered the beauty of this species after I moved to Vienna a decade or so ago.
I still can't get enough of that one, though I feel that I might move on to another species some time soon.
(Acer campestre? Or Fagus sylvatica? Or Quercus pubescens, perchance? Actually, I might go for Ulmus minor even, or the very common Betula pendula. Just stay tuned, and find out for yourselves whereto my interests will move - I really couldn't tell myself as they've got all their charms!)
