bad and badder

Sorry, that'd be 'worse', rather.

Anyway, the turtle said she's done with this championship, and that the quality of the games were only useful for giving up football completely. She walked away frustrated, stating that she'd rather continue her search for a proper egg-nest.

Well, we had actually some good games, and some not-so-good ones but where actually both teams tried to actually play.

But there are also frustrating moments, like the Greek team for example - we saw that they aren't that bad, they played okay against Nigeria - but only after a Nigerian player was sent off, so they only 'dared' to play football when numerically superior to their opponent, which is really cheap. Especially considering their performance yesterday against Argentina: so even though they aren't the worst team of the championship they still deserve not to go forward for playing like that.

And then of course there were today's afternoon matches, and a good half in today's evening matches - very very very disappointing. I cannot wait for the knock-out phase, and I still hope that yes, they'll try their best to win then - and not play for a penalty shootout. But who knows?

(PS: Germany just scored, and this time I'm saying that they don't deserve to go through to the knock-out rounds; they're again 'playing German', and that means the match is not fun.)

(PPS: Serbia made the same mistake as Germany, only that it didn't pay off for them while it seems it does for the Germans. Vivat Australia; and I still hope: vivat Ghana! But alas, it will be in vain: after all with results remaining as they are Ghana still will go through even when losing, while Germany would be out if they were to lose - dead game, there won't be any goals scored anymore in the Ghana-Germany match.)

(PPPS: So a life feed for once ...)
