Winter finally has arrived in full force. Temperatures are well below zero throughout the day, icy northerly winds are blowing, and there's the occasional snow shower.
So what we've got now here in Vienna are all the bad things about wintery weather but no snow worth speaking of (only a five centimetres presently, that'd be about two inches - even in the UK they've got more right now!), neither ice on the bayous - and we won't get any soon as warm weather is predicted for Christmas.
Tomorrow the nasty weather will continue, but on sunday we might just be lucky and get some sun. So stay tuned - probably there will be nice photos of snow soon.
(Well actually I do think that a satellite dish, ventilation shafts and squarish shapes too are nice, in a way. Not as nice as a proper winter scenery, admittedly, but still!)
