borderline

Burgenland is, or so most Austrian thinks, flat as a pancake.

Which however is not quite true; there are a few mountains, not a single one higher than 884 metres AMSL but nevertheless!

This oak is growing on one of them, on the Leitha ridge (Leithagebirge):

To be more precise, this tree is growing right on the border between Lower Austria and Burgenland; but let's pretend it were growing on Burgenland soil - as this, then, would be my first Burgenland photo in this blog.
