I have only begun posting in my Herbarium Blog which will be extended to include also animals and fungi, and I'll also continue to upload on my Flickr Herbarium and Whatnot page: the latter will only ever include a few photos per species while the former will be updated continually. And they all will be listed on my Sokolindex Blog so that I will be able to keep track of them all, for which I've also created Sokolopolis which hopefully some day will be something like an index to an index.

And of course I'll try and maintain this blog too :) only that species pages mainly will go to Herbarium or Flickr.

I'm still working on all those newly created threads, much is not finished yet, and some gadgets on the side or below the posts still need to be changed or deleted or added. Meanwhile, I'd like to put your attention to an excellent documentary about the tree of life (I've linked to it on the caput page):

Highly recommended: Espèces d'espèces/ Die wunderbare Artenvielfalt (documentary by Denis van Waerebeke & Vincent Gaullier, France 2008). The task of this film is to explain the tree of life in a fascinating way even for people who previously had no interest in this stuff whatsoever; surprisingly, the film manages to do this with ease. If you have the bandwith and the language skills necessary (French or German will do) you should watch that film, still available on arte.tv homepage (this probably is only possible for a couple of weeks or so).
