Today I saw again Great Egrets in Lobau - and I even got very close to them; but I didn't have my camera ready - when I finally had they were already far away, as you can see.
Nature already shows all signs typical for fall. We only didn't have much fog this year yet, and also the young of arachnids haven't really come out in great numbers: when they do their spinned threads will hang like hair on bushes which is why in German this is called "Altweibersommer" (Indian Summer): literally, Old Women's Summer because of the "white hair" from those arachnids.
