grass

When I saw this I immediately thought it has to be some kind of leek:

Also I thought this plant has to be quite rare as I've seen it for the first time in my life.

I was wrong, on both counts.

It is simply Juncus effusus (Flatter-Simse, or Soft Rush in English) - simply some kind of grass, then -, and it is not rare at all but supposed to be quite common.

Be that as it may, the thing's still pretty, isn't it?
