Probably these are the last photos this year of lovely weather on the hot lands (Heissländen) of Lobau. I've made quite some today, to last me for the next weeks.
Meteorologists have repeated their warnings that the weakend will bring wet, cold and nasty weather, with snow in the mountains, and even colder weather for next week.
Also the days are getting shorter by the day, and fast - all I've left after I come home from work is a good two hours to drive on my bicycle, just enough to get out there, feed the local mosquitos and take some shots. But soon Waluliso bridge*) will be dismantled - probably this weekend even - and then I will have to take a detour of six kilometres to reach my beloved Lobau. With days growing shorter so quickly soon I only will be able to reach Lobau on weekends only. We had a good year this year, Lobau and me, and we will see each other some times in the colder seasons of the year, though not as frequently as previously. Fare you well, then.
*) Which still would be much later than last year when this already happened very early in september.
