Summer is at its peak; I can't imagine this year's summer becoming hotter still - and nevertheless it wasn't nearly as hot as last year, yet. I cannot give a reasonable explanation for it but I have the feeling that from now on it will only become colder, and more autumnal.
But the trees still are green.
Flowers still are flowering.
Poplar's leaves are glittering white in the sun.
And the only trees slowly beginning to take on autumn colours are horse-chestnuts, but in this case that's due to damage done by a moth (Cameraria ohridella) crawling inside the leaves and feeding on them which has been imported from south-eastern Europe recently.
