Christmas time.
Christmas fairs have started in Vienna already - on 15th of november, if I remember correctly. Shopping frenzy will kick in come next weekend. And in the local supermarkets which I cannot possibly ignore (I will have to eat something, won't I?) christmas carols will start to poison the atmosphere.
If I had kids I might find at least some joy in Christmas time. But as it is, it's just a nuisance.
If you like then join me for a not-buying-unnecessary-things Christmas time this year. Keep off the shopping carts!
(Well - I confess, there's one present I will have to buy - namely, for my parents. It would be very unpolite of me not to do so, and so I don't. But I assure you, both their presents will be very practical ones! So, nothing unnecessary, at least - some comfort.)
