Of the harbours of Vienna I've already shown you Alberner Hafen as well as ships docking on the riverbanks - the Donaulände - directly. Near to Alberner Hafen, just on the other side of the danube, you'll find the oil port (Ölhafen) of Lobau.
Lobau national park ends where I stood taking this photo, and the industrial zone begins. Behind the oil tanks lies a single dock.
The oil tanks are a well known landmark as in summer, thousands of people pass by it in order to get to Lobau national park. The port and tanks surely aren't pretty and the smell of oil lies in the air.
In my opinion it's the least attractive of all Viennese harbours. Nevertheless I quite like this view of the ugly tanks.
