Colchicum autumnale have finally come out (English autumn crocus or meadow saffron, German Herbstzeitlose) - that's a little bit early, I think, but then I'm no expert:
They are signalling that autumn is on it's way; this picture was taken on 18th of august, three days previously I didn't see any. The flowers themselves are quite fragile but poisonous.
Very well, so autumn is coming. Fine by me, it's the time of year I like best.
