The other day, I wrote about the species of Cepea vindobonensis (not C. hortensis as I thought earlier), snails in Lobau (and elsewhere, of course) grazing the local bushes. Probably I shouldn't do this without presenting a picture.
Well, here she is! (If it's a Cepea at all, that is. -> I think I've established that as a fact now.)
They didn't really move much in the last days of blazing heat, and I never even saw one of them actually feeding on the leaves of the bush. They all just kept themselves curled up.
Probably too hot for them, too.
Today, it's a rainy day, at last. What a relief!
Even if this keeps me indoors today evening, I'm just happy that the heat finally has let off. It should come back, according to the forecasts, and soon. But let's not talk about that now, okay?
